The aim of the project was to create an NFT landing page for the brand-new Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra, named “Paletta Projekt”.
At the time of the school project, Samsung had not yet created a landing page for the Paletta Projekt. The challenge for the students was to design a landing page based on a low-fidelity wireframe, text, and Samsung's brandbook. The landing page needed to reflect Samsung's branding and design guidelines while also expressing NFT style, being visually striking and engaging for users. The key challenge was to create a design that would capture the essence of the Paletta Projekt and appeal to a wide audience.
When designing the landing page for the project, I was aiming to express freedom, art, creation, mystery and boldness. I wanted to create something extraordinary while maintaining the brand identity. I have applied dark theme to achieve a strong, dramatic look for striking visuals. As Samsung’s branding color scheme warrants it, it was another reason for creating dark theme.
I have used Samsung’s design guidelines adding a futuristic style together with metaverse and NFT visuals, neon elements, blur effects and gradients. I have also added two new colors, pink and turquoise.
During my design process I was focusing on consistency and uniformity, and of course responsivity. At the hero section the hero image illustrates and expresses the key message “Redraw Your Freedom”. To spice up the design a little bit, I have added some brutalist-style by CTA buttons.
As for typography I have focused on visual hierarchy, I have modified and shortened the original texts. By right and left alignment, I wanted to increase dynamism.
The roundings (rounded corners) I have applied helps to make the design friendly and youngish.
Navigation: The landing page is easy to navigate, with clear and concise headings and sections that guide users through the page.
Visual Hierarchy: The visual hierarchy is well-maintained throughout the page, with headings and subheadings that clearly indicate the most important information.
Content: The content is presented in an engaging and visually appealing way, with a mix of images, text, icons and illustrations that keep users interested.
CTA: The CTAs are prominent and easily accessible, making it clear what actions the user can take on the page.
Responsiveness: The landing page is responsive, meaning it adapts to different screen sizes and devices, ensuring a seamless user experience.
I was so glad to have the opportunity to present my design to 200 professionals at the final portfolio presentation event. 😊
